We live in a world of disguise. We either hide behind a happy face or a piece of fabric which covers us. It is amazing how the form, shape ,material and colour of the fabric changes our perception of the person underneath.

What is underneath could still be in disguise. Fashion, make up, science and technology are creating an illusion which is going further to our skin for better or worse….

Seated woman

We exist in an increasingly immaterial culture, a virtual society from which our bodies are exiled. The ceramic sculpture is to put us back in touch with our origin The Earth. The imperfection of the surface is our imperfection, our natural form, pain and suffering.

This piece was exhibited at the Espaccio Gallery this year and was sold to an art collector.
